I’ve always been curious why certain types of games take off in some countries but barely exist in others. Like, in Japan, I saw tons of people playing rhythm games in arcades and on mobile, but where I live, you rarely see those — people are more into fantasy RPGs and casino-style games. I wonder how much of that comes from deeper cultural influences, like values around competition, luck, or even storytelling traditions. Anyone else noticed this kind of thing???
