Counterfeits thrive where regulation is weak. Without discussing vendors, the red flags are fairly consistent: sloppy or changing labels between “batches,” mismatched lot numbers, off smells or colors in oil, unexpected crystallization, and side effects that don’t align with reported dose. Packaging gloss can also be faked, so shiny holograms don’t prove anything. If consistency, documentation, and basic QC signals are missing, that’s your cue to step back—not lean in.
