Alright, long shot here but has anyone had dramas with neighbours when replacing a boundary fence? Our back fence is on its last legs – practically falling over – but the couple next door are being a bit difficult. They reckon it’s “fine for now” even though their dog keeps sneaking through the gaps. I’d like something solid that’ll last a long while and actually looks half decent too, not just an eyesore. Is there a reliable way to get a boundary fence sorted without it costing an arm and a leg? Or am I stuck waiting for the neighbours to get on board?

Been there mate, trust me, it’s painful when neighbours don’t wanna chip in. In our case, we just went ahead and got a proper boundary fence put in and covered the cost ourselves – honestly worth the peace of mind. Strong, straight, and now we don’t have to worry about their mutt digging through anymore. A good installer will also give you the right paperwork in case the neighbours kick up a fuss. We went through this mob: https://fullflexfencing.au/services/boundary-fencing/ – no dramas, quick turnaround, and they explained the whole process so it was stress-free.
